Utah Lake Accesses WMALocationThere are numerous sportsman accesses to Utah Lake provided by the DWR. These include:
The LandThe Fifth West Access is a parking lot at the south most end of Fifth West in Provo. This lot is often gated.The Mill Race Access is a dirt boat ramp into a stream north of Camelot Woods. Take Exit 265 westbound from I-15, turning north where the paved road turns south. The Swede Lane Access is a parking lot with a viewing tower and boat ramp at the north end of Swede Lane. Swede Lane is about 4 miles west of exit 263 off I-15 on SR-77. Watch for signs. If you come to a bridge over the Spanish Fork River, you have passed Swede Lane. The Spanish Fork River Access can be reached from Swede Lane or by another road about a quarter mile west of Swede Lane. The road follows the river, passing through dense cottonwood stands. The Lake Shore Access is the north end of 4000 West, about 1 mile west of the Spanish Fork Bridge on SR-77. This road overlooks a substantial marsh (some years) and passes between several ponds, then ends at Utah Lake. The Lincoln Beach is being developed into a state park and is not really a WMA, but the road to it and the beach areas adjacent are good places to see shore birds. Lincoln Point is the northern-most end of West Mountain. The LeBarron Point Access is on the west side of West Mountain, and is reached by a dirt road at the northern-most end of the orchards at Genola. Created on ... December 14, 2002 |
