Utah County Trails and Paths Utah County has a number of multi-purpose paths and trails that may offer good birding opportunities. Some of the trails lead to great birding, others are simply a nice walk. Here is my report on the 38 miles of trails I covered during 2002. Trail Changes Happen Walk a urban trail, then come back to it later, it may just have changed, and significantly too. Utah Breeding Bird Atlas Experiment Utah does not have a Breeding Bird Atlas, but needs one badly. This site is an experiment in doing an atlas to see if it is feasible to do one in Utah, given the immensity of the land and the paucity of the birder population. This experiment was initiated in Utah County in 2003 with 10 active birders taking survey squares. Procedure changes will be made based on their experience. |
